In a message received by Student Councillors on Friday 27th February, Councillors were informed that Queen’s Students’ Union has managed to secure funding to enable the SU to send an elected representative to the upcoming NUS LGBT Conference.

A meeting is due to be held on Monday 2nd March at 11:30am in the Ann Maguire Room of the Students’ Union for the process of electing a delegate.

The delegate is required to be elected by self-defining LGBT students in Queen’s.

Student Councillors have been told that “nominations will be accepted at the meeting and those present will elect the delegate by secret ballot. The meeting is open to all self-defining LGBT students in Queen’s.”

The NUS LGBT Conference is in Sheffield and will take place between the 17th-19th March.
