To coincide with the International Action Day for Decriminalisation of Abortion, a new service for women seeking medical abortions living in countries where abortion access is severely limited or illegal has launched. Women Help Women (www.consult.womenhelp.org) is the second website to offer medical abortions to women living in Northern Ireland who are up to 9 weeks pregnant.

Women On Web (www.womenonweb.org) was the first website to provide options to women in various languages, following an online GP consultation and a donation of €90. However, Women Help Women suggest a donation of €75 for a medical abortion and also offers contraception (€40-55), emergency contraception (€32), condoms and resources for activists. They claim to ‘increase the availability of reproductive health choices needed to control our reproductive lives’ and delivery should be expected within 10-14 days.
