As of 14:30 today, the Queen’s University Students’ Union Returning officer verified both the QUB Sinn Fein United Ireland Referendum Petition and QUB Neutrality Petition.
Both petitions were lodged with the Students’ Union Returning Officer on Wednesday, and today the Returning Officer declared that both referenda will be presented to the entire student body at QUB, on Monday 27th October 2014.
To this end, students at QUB will be faced with the following questions:
QUB Irish Unity Referendum:

(Yes OR No)
QUB Neutrality Referendum:
“This Students’ Union is a shared space that is inclusive for all students and should therefore have a neutral stance on the constitutional position of NI”
(Yes OR No)
Next week, The Gown and The Scoop will be co-hosting a live ‘Big Referenda Debate’.
